In home care for senior citizens and adults with disabilities
Physically, it’s easy to help senior loved ones with transportation, housekeeping, and other tasks they aren’t able to do themselves. But if they have a chronic condition, they may need someone to be there for them 24/7, making the situation more difficult on the family. If there is a family caregiver, they will need to leave at some point to attend to their own matters. If your loved one needs someone to care for them around the clock, Assisting Hands Home Care can help with our 24-hour and live-in care services in North Texas. Each of our caregivers is trained, experienced, and insured to provide the level of care needed to ensure your loved one is safe and comfortable at all times. Why Choose Assisting Hands?
Live-In Care
With live-in care, one of our caregivers will be living in your loved one’s home to provide around-the-clock assistance and respond to any emergencies. There will be 2 caregivers who will rotate in 3-4 day shifts of living in the home. This will provide your loved one with the security and you with the peace of mind you need. Before the service begins, we will meet with you and your loved one to form a detailed care plan with our live-in caregivers. We will take their needs into account and create a plan that includes a list of services provided. Each morning, the live-in caregiver will be there to help your loved one out of bed and help them with their activities, such as bathing and dressing. We will then work with them throughout the day to ensure they are fed properly, take their medication, and are situated in a clean environment. At the end of the day, we will help them get ready for bed. Our live-in care services are best for seniors who have just come home from the hospital, live alone, or who have lost their spouse. Both you and your loved ones will have peace of mind knowing that someone is always there to provide the care needed and respond to any emergencies.Preparing for a Live-In Caregiver
As the caregivers will be living in the home with your loved one, they will need a place of their own to sleep and keep their belongings. They must be allowed at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. At the end of the shift, they will clean their space and prepare it for the next caregiver.Call (214) 571-7059 for your free in-home consultation
Home Care Services
24-Hour Home Care
These services are a little different than live-in caregivers because we make sure that there is always a caregiver who is awake and attentive at all times of the day. To make this happen, two caregivers will work in alternating 12-hour shifts. Because they work 12 hours, they will not need sleep while in your loved one’s home. They will be awake during the entire shift to respond to any problem or emergency that occurs during the night. If your loved one has an illness and requires 24/7 supervision, these services are best. You can trust that our caregivers will provide the level of care they need.Contact Assisting Hands Home Care
