Assisting Hands Home Care of Mansfield, TX, proudly hosted a Veterans Day event dedicated to honoring the veterans of Ellis County living in assisted and independent living facilities. Recognizing that these heroes are often overlooked, our team, consisting of skilled and non-skilled home care providers, worked tirelessly to bring together resources and ensure that as many veterans in the area could attend as possible. We provided professional ride-sharing services for seniors, ensuring everyone had access to this meaningful day.
The Waxahachie Civic Center was filled with pride and reflection, with the Traveling Wall—a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial—serving as a powerful backdrop. Veterans, including a notable WWII “Battle of the Bulge” hero, received recognition from community members for their service. Local schools from Avalon, Midlothian, and Waxahachie joined in, creating an intergenerational tribute that will be cherished by all who attended.
This event was a small way to give back to the veterans who gave so much, and we were honored to celebrate their legacy. Thank you to all who made this possible, and especially to the veterans who inspire us every day.
